In Huntingdon County, the trial is scheduled to begin next week for a Mount Union Area School guidance counselor who is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

In January, police charged Morgan Anderson, now age 32, following an investigation into complaints that she was engaged in a sexual relationship with a male student at the school.

Troopers say the student admitted to "flirting" with Anderson and claimed that she gave him her Snapchat after he "jokingly" asked for it.

Police say investigators learned that the pair had met outside of school, on at least two occasions.

Troopers say Anderson described their "meet ups" as "an after-school counseling session."

Police say Anderson eventually admitted to engaging in sexual activity with the student but claimed that "she wasn't violating any laws" because the student was over the age of 18 and the incident occurred outside of school.

Anderson faces one felony count of school intercourse-sexual contact with a student.

Authorities confirmed that jury selection is scheduled for the morning of Monday, Sept. 11th, with the trial to begin the following day.
