Suspect in Clearfield County double homicide found dead

OSCEOLA MILLS -- Clearfield District Attorney Bill Shaw said the suspect in a double homicide in Clearfield County has been found dead. Shaw said the body of 26-year-old Cody Bush was found near Route 53 in Ashland.

Shaw said the body of 26-year-old Cody Bush was found near Route 53 in Ashland.

Shaw said it appeared he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Bill Shaw said state police were called to a home on Curtin Street in Osceola Mills Friday morning for a domestic incident involving gunshots.

When police arrived they found the bodies of Bush's girlfriend, Victoria Schultz, 21, and her mother, Beth Schultz, 47, according to deputy coroner Kim Schaffer-Snyder.

A third person, a 25-year-old woman, was shot and was taken to UPMC Altoona. As of 10 a.m., that person was in critical condition was awaiting to undergo surgery.

Court records show that Bush was charged with stalking and harassment for an Oct. 29 incident and that he posted bail Nov. 1.

State police and the coroner's office is continuing their investigation.
