BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A Bedford County man arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl is facing more charges after sexually assaulting the girl again while out on bail, troopers say.
According to state police, 24-year-old Daniel Taylor, of Broad Top, is facing 432 more counts related to sexual assault and corruption of minors.
Troopers say Taylor was first charged in February of 2020.
Taylor was arrested after investigators say they interviewed him and the girl and learned that he had assaulted her at multiple locations in Coaldale Borough and in Broad Top Township between Dec. 1, 2019 and Feb. 11, 2020.
Taylor was arrested and charged with statutory sexual assault, institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault, state police said.
Troopers say Taylor was released on bail and was to have no contact with the victim per the conditions of the bail.
According to state police, authorities were made aware in Sept. that Taylor had violated his bail conditions.
Then in April, investigators say the victim came forward and said that once Taylor was released from prison, he had contacted her on Snapchat in March.
She said that starting April 10, until Taylor’s arrest Sept. 4, he had sexually assaulted her every single day.
Taylor is being held in the Bedford County Jail on $75,000 bail.
He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
