CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A new casino project in Centre County is moving along.
Bally's Corporation announced they're a partner for a new casino near the Nittany Mall.
Bally's is working with former Penn State trustee, Ira Lubert.
He was awarded a mini-casino license last year by the state's gaming control board.
Lubert was previously involved in a proposal to locate a casino in the mall's former Bon-Ton store site.
Now there's word they're eyeing the former Macy's store location.
Bally's says construction on the $120 million project will begin later this year.
The casino plans include up to 350 slot machines and 30 gaming tables.
