UNIVERSITY PARK -- Ryan McCarvel became the second player in State College Spikes history to hit for the cycle as they go on to defeat the Brooklyn Cyclones 10-4 and with that, take the three-game series.

The Cyclones took the lead in the top of the fourth inning, scoring three runs, but the Spikes instantly responded.

In the bottom of the fourth, Dylan Tice got things started with a shallow ball to center that bounced behind the outfielder, scoring one. McCarvel then hit a triple-RBI to tie the score at three. Two more runs in the inning would give the Spikes the 5-3 lead.

State College continued their hot streak and plated five more runs, and Ronnie Williams tied a franchise record with 10 strikeouts to lead the Spikes past the Brooklyn Cyclones.

The Spikes start another home series against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers on Friday, with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
