SPRING TOWNSHIP - A Pleasant Gap man faces numerous charges after he was accused of breaking into a Spring Township home Sunday morning.
Ryan Harter faces charges of burglary, felony criminal trespassing, simple assault, strangulation and making terroristic threats.
According to an affidavit, a woman called police after she heard someone pounding on her door.
When officers arrived on Lingwood Court, they saw a door open at a different residence.
Officers approached the property and were told by a man that Harter had forced his way into the home. Officers then went into the home and got Harter out of the house, according to police.
According to the affidavit, Harter showed signs of intoxication and a handgun in his possession, and he was detained.
Police said officers then talked to the man, who told them he heard loud banging on his door and that when he answered, Harter forced his way inside.
The man said Harter pushed him into a television set and started to choke him to the point where he was having trouble breathing.
According to the complaint, Harter then went upstairs, where a woman was, and the man followed him upstairs.
Police said once all three were upstairs, Harter pulled a handgun and threatened to shoot both of the victims. Police said the woman told them that she and Harter recently broke up.
Harter was taken to Centre County Correctional Facility and his bail was set at $75,000.
