CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Officials are hoping a new air filtration system at the Cambria County Prison will help save tax payers money.
The county recently taking advantage of a grant to install a level five bio-grade security health system.
Cambria County is only one of four in the state taking advantage so far, according to county leaders.
The system will be installed by Germ Solutions USA.
It's supposed to mitigate airborne and surface pathogens throughout the facility.
Officials say the air filtration system was paid for 100 percent by a grant from the government.
They hope to have the system online next week.
The company says they'll then test the system for one year to show the county the benefits.
