CAMBRIA TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) - Numerous emergency crews are on the scene of a plane crash in the Ebensburg area, according to officials on scene.
Crews responded to a Cessna down around 1:30 p.m.
A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) official said Sunday that the plane was a Piper PA-34 aircraft and that it crashed one mile north of Ebensburg Airport around 1:45 p.m. Saturday with four people on board.
It happened near Beulah and Allie Buck Roads near the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Ebensburg Airport.
All four people were injured and were taken to the hospital. No fatalities have been reported.
"[It was] definitely a non-routine situation for us," Dauntless Fire Company truck captain Jerry Buckhart said. " Everybody on scene worked well together and we were able to successfully extricate all four patients."
Details of what led to the crash are not known at this time.
The FAA is investigating.
An FAA official said local authorities will release the names and conditions of the people on board and that the FAA will release the aircraft registration after that.
A National Transportation Safety Board official said Sunday that the agency is monitoring the situation.
