Through state grants and charitable contributions, the healthcare provider is expanding its current facility to allow for 20 additional residents to be able to seek residential treatment for substance abuse disorder.

"This is a beautiful setting to bring people in who are troubled, who are having concerns, who want to get better, who want to improve, who want to recover. And what better way to do that than to spend time here."

The 16-million-dollar project includes the construction of a new building and renovation of the current facility and is expected to be complete in early 2023.

We'll tell you more about this expansion project and how those involved are working to de-stigmatize addiction on Thursday for our Addicted America series at 5:30.
