Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Ace Hardware in Tyrone is once again helping to raise money for a local charity this holiday season.
This year's train theme for the fundraiser is "Thomas the Tank Engine."
Visitors have the opportunity to visit the display and purchase raffle tickets for various prizes, that have been donated by local businesses.
All of the funds raised will benefit the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.
The fundraiser was created after one employee was able to adopt a dog from the shelter several years ago, during the holidays.
"We went up to see her the week before Christmas, and then on Christmas Eve, we got the phone call to come pick her up. So, she was our Christmas Eve gift, and after that, we've always given back to the humane society,” says Chase Burke.
The drawing for the prizes will be held on December 22nd at 7 p.m. at the store located on Logan Avenue in Tyrone.
