A body discovered in the Wisecarver Run Reservoir in Greene County Sunday morning was identified as an individual who was reported missing by his family, state police say.

According to a press release, Shane Phillips was originally reported missing by his family after he went out on a fishing trip May 18.

State police say his truck was located at the reservoir unattended as well as his kayak that was floating in the water.

The press release states that investigators were able to identify Phillips's body after it was found and extracted from the water.

According to state police, multiple individuals and businesses, emergency service departments and dive teams from different counties as well as the PA Game Commission and Fish and Boat Commission, aided in the search for Phillips.

The press release states that the Greene County Coroner's Office and State Police Crime Troopers are working together in the ongoing investigation.
