JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) Thousands of President Donald Trump's supporters gathered in Johnstown Tuesday night to listen to the president make his case for re-election in three weeks. Central Pennsylvania proved to be pivotal for President Trump's election in 2016.

Tuesday, he rallied for support for his re-election in 2020 at the John Murtha Johnstown Cambria County Airport.

One day after returning to the campaign trail following his coronavirus diagnosis, President Trump made his case for four more years.

"I was elected to fight for you and I've fought harder for you than any president has fought for their people.," Trump said.

Talking to a crowd of thousands, he talked about his successes.

"I ended the regulation that destroyed your neighborhoods, I ended the regulation that brought in crime to the suburbs, and you're going to live the American dream," he said.

And why his challenger would not be the best fit for the country.

"And you know Biden he can't stand up to the lunatics in his party. He can't even find his way off the stage. I mean look what's happened." Trump said.

It comes though as the president's poll numbers in the Keystone State have softened, with the president down anywhere from 5 to 13 points to Joe Biden in polls out this month.

The president said he's not worried about it though, as it was places like Johnstown and Cambria County that led him to victory in Pennsylvania four years ago, and he says will do so again.

"When I came here I promised you a lot of things and I've done much more than I promised you.," Trump said. "You damn well better vote for me Pennsylvania."

Telling his supporters that he will continue to Make America Great Again if he gets to stay in the White House for another four years.

"My goal is not to make friends in the DC swamp my goal is to fight for you and to fight for your family." the president said.

The president also talked about his recovery from coronavirus saying he's healthy, immune, and ready to this the campaign trail again.
