The annual Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous kicked off Wednesday in Ridgway.

The event runs through Sunday afternoon.

Organizers say 90 carvers, from countries around the world, will be making elaborate pieces out of wood for visitors to enjoy.

In addition to live carvings, there are craft vendors, food booths, wineries, and breweries, as well as music.

New this year is a $5 admission fee for adults, but kids are free.

“We’re able to do more for organizations, with the gate fee, we’re able to donate to the Rails to Trails, with the auction, we’re able to donate to carvers in need. It’s people helping people, artists helping artists.”

The Rendezvous can be found at the Ridgway Mills Campground, located along West Main Street where there is no fee to park.
