Telehealth, rural physician bills clear committee

WASHINGTON (TCS) — Legislation to make permanent the extension of telehealth services for federally qualified health centers and rural health clinics has passed the Ways and Means Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. The bill of U.S. Rep. Dr. Greg Murphy, R-N.C., and the Rural Physician Workforce Preservation Act he authored are also under consideration by the Committee on Energy and Commerce. “I’m grateful for my colleagues’ support on these bills critical for eastern North Carolina,” Murphy wrote on social media.

Altoona RR museum planning 'birthday party' for iconic K4 steam engine

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Two years ago, the staff at the Railroaders Memorial Museum, along with FMW Solutions, began working to bring an iconic steam locomotive, the K4 1361, back to life. Pa. elk license sells for $85,000

ELK Co.-- Pennsylvania's reputation as a prime elk-hunting location continues to get stronger. The state's Special Elk Conservation Tag, a license created by the Pennsylvania General Assembly and auctioned off by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) to benefit wildlife, commanded $85,000 at auction March 26. RMEF is located in Montana and has about 13,000 members in PA. Eight tags for use in seven different states were auctioned off; Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Washington.
