Cambria County property sold; will become CAT component rebuild center

EBENSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — A former manufacturing and repair site for windmill blades will serve a new purpose. In February 2018, CK Capitol LLC, also known as Cleveland Brothers, bought the property from Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Incorporated. According to the company's president and CEO, Jay Cleveland Jr., it will use the land for a CAT component rebuild center. Cleveland says construction has begun on a new facility that will rebuild Caterpillar 3500 and 3600 gas engines.

Johnstown brewery joins worldwide campaign supporting Black Lives Matter movement

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — One local business is supporting the Black Lives Matter movement by joining a world wide campaign. Stone Bridge Brewing Company in Johnstown is joining has become a part of the Black is Beautiful beer collaboration The Black is Beautiful beer campaign is a collaborative effort to bring awareness to the injustices people of color face daily. The idea started at a brewery in Texas and has made its way to downtown Johnstown.

PSU names architect, construction manager for Beaver Stadium renovation project

University Park, PA (WJAC) — An architect and construction manager have been named for the long-awaited renovation project at Penn State's Beaver Stadium. One of the people involved in the new design phase is Scott Radecic, a former Penn State linebacker. Radecic's company, “Populus,” has done stadium design work worldwide. Three other companies will spearhead the actual renovation construction at the stadium, which is expected to get underway at the end of the 2024 football season.

'It bothers me!' Pennsylvania man finds 'mystery note' inside box of cereal

Luzerne County, PA (NBC) — Questions and concerns are being raised by a family in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, after they say they found a cryptic note inside a sealed box of cereal. And this is not the first time a "mystery note" has been found inside sealed food products. “I opened up the box. I usually open it up and take the bag out and I opened the bag like this, so I poured it out in my bowl and out came this paper that was all folded up just like this,” said Joe Miller.

Bellefonte lacrosse team honors late teammate in emotional playoff game

SNYDER COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Just three days after one of their teammates passed away after drowning at Raystown Lake, the Bellefonte boys lacrosse team had a playoff game Thursday. While the Bellefonte boys lacrosse team lost here to Selinsgrove on Tuesday in their district playoff matchup, head coach Rick Johnson says he is so proud of this team, and how they’ve rallied around each other following the passing of their teammate, 16-year-old Nathan Dan, on Saturday.
