Explosion, fire that left 3 dead, 1 hurt rocks Ohio city

HILLSBORO, Ohio (WKRC) — Fire officials are investigating the cause of an explosion, which resulted in a fire, that killed three people and injured one other person in Ohio on Tuesday. It happened at Jimbo’s Auto Repair in Hillsboro. As of Wednesday morning, the State Fire Marshal, OSHA, Paint Creek Joint EMS and city road crews are working to clear the debris and investigate the scene further. But it’s understandably rocked the small town just an hour from both Dayton and Cincinnati.

Free breakfast is now available at some PA schools

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Experts say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and now, nearly two million Pennsylvania students are able to get free breakfast thanks to Governor Wolf's new Universal Free School Breakfast Program that started this week. Vonda Ramp a State Director for the Child Nutrition Programs in the PA Dept. of Education says, “Everybody qualifies, everybody’s eating and its good for everybody”. Ramp says she is very excited about the new program and “there are 3,423 schools that participate in the school lunch program and there are 3,170 of those schools that participate in the school breakfast program.

Vale Wood Farms hosts July pasture party

Vale Wood Farms held a pasture party Friday so that consumers could learn more about their “Moo to You” motto and see their family-friendly farm. It was all about food, farming and family at Vale Wood Farms' pasture party. Annual 'Arts & Crafts Fair' at Jaffa Shrine returns

Altoona, PA (WJAC) — The annual Jaffa Shrine Arts and Crafts Fair kicked off Saturday in Altoona. Over 100 vendors, mostly Pennsylvania-based vendors, taking part on two floors inside the historic venue. The mid-November weekend event is back on after taking the year off last year due to the pandemic. Money raised from vendor spaces and concession goes towards ongoing fundraising efforts that the Shriners help benefit. The two-day event continues Sunday until 5 p.

Former Steelers LB Devin Bush signs 1-year deal with Seattle

According to reports from multiple NFL Insiders, Pittsburgh Steelers free agent linebacker Devin Bush is signing a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Bush was drafted in the first round of 2019 NFL Draft out of the University of Michigan. In four seasons with the Steelers, Bush played in 52 career games, starting 48 of them. He has two career interceptions, two forced fumbles, 13 pass defenses, 4 sacks and 286 total tackles.
