FCC upholds license revocation of former Somerset County radio host Roger Wahl

SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — In what is likely the final chapter in the years-long legal battle between the FCC and Somerset County radio personality Roger Wahl, the commission has upheld its decision to revoke Wahl's license. According to a release made public earlier this month, the FCC denied Wahl's attempt to review and appeal the decision. The latest order comes nearly one year after the FCC initially voted to revoke Wahl's radio license in the wake of his criminal investigation.

Former college student pleads guilty to deadly sword attack

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A former University of Connecticut student pleaded guilty to murder and other charges Wednesday for killing a man and severely wounding another with a sword in 2020 — one of two deadly attacks that led to a six-day manhunt in several states that ended with his capture in Maryland. Peter Manfredonia, 26, from Newtown, Connecticut, agreed to a 55-year prison sentence during a hearing at Rockville Superior Court.

Steelers trade guard Kevin Dotson to LA

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Sunday night that they have traded offensive guard Kevin Dotson to the Los Angeles Rams. Pittsburgh will receive multiple draft picks in return, including the Rams' 2024 fourth-round pick. Dotson was drafted by Pittsburgh in the fourth-round of the 2020 draft and played in 39 career games for the Steelers. Dotson also started all 17 games last season for Pittsburgh and played all 1,160 offensive snaps.
