The case centers on 95 mail-in ballots, from the recent primary election, that have been challenged as to whether they're valid ballots due to problems with how they were dated.

The department recently finished its $650,000 renovation project on an event and banquet facility with the goal of creating an inviting atmosphere and having a space to host meetings, conferences, weddings, and small parties. The facility has been in the community center for years, hosting numerous fundraisers for the fire department and community benefits.
