The Penn State Nittany Lions arrived in Atlanta, GA Saturday afternoon ahead of their matchup against Ole Miss in the 56th annual Peach Bowl, according to a press release. Penn State ranked at number 10 in the AP college football poll while Ole Miss ranked at number 11. The event will be held at noon December 30 in Mercedes-Benz Stadium and will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN. The press release states that it will represent the first-ever trip to the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl for the Nittany Lions and their first meeting with Ole Miss.

CLEARFIELD - Police in Clearfield County continue to investigate the theft of approximately $40,000 worth of jewelry. Clearfield Borough police said the incident happened Dec. 14 at Zalno Jewelers on North Third Street around 6:15 p.m. Officer Nathan Curry said police are currently looking into possible sightings of the group at other jewelry stores to build a timeline. "Since the actual theft has occurred, we've been working with other agencies to determine if these individuals have been in other areas of Pennsylvania or even other states,"

BALD EAGLE -- The Bald Eagle softball team hosted Clearfield on Thursday and used an early lead to beat the Bison, 4-2. The Eagles led 2-0 in the fourth inning and then added an insurance RBI from Zoey Surovec in the fifth inning, eventually extending the lead to 4-1. Clearfield started a comeback with an RBI double from Brook Cline, but Surovec was able to close out the win on the mound for Bald Eagle.

Jefferson Co., PA (WJAC) — According to Jefferson County EMS Director Tracy Zents, firefighters from multiple northern counties have been battling a large forest fire for most of the afternoon. Officials say the fire is located within the Allegheny National Forest, in the area of River Road in Belltown. Authorities say crews have been on scene since approximately 12:45 p.m. Departments from Jefferson, Elk, Clarion, Clearfield and Forest county are all assisting.
