NEW YORK (TND) — Clifton Williams, the 50-year-old man charged with assaulting actor Steve Buscemi, is currently being held in a New York City jail on bond, prosecutors said Sunday. Williams, who is experiencing homelessness, was identified by authorities as the alleged attacker Wednesday before being arrested by police on Friday. The accused man was arraigned on Saturday and the judge set bail at $50,000. It was unclear if the defendant had a lawyer who could speak for him.

The Millheim Fire Company canceled its annual fire company carnival due to pandemic restrictions. ELK COUNTY, Pa — Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced the arrests of 13 individuals on Thursday who were part of a major drug trafficking ring in Elk and Erie counties. Authorities say the individuals were trafficking heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamine. “While we lose 14 Pennsylvanians a day to drug overdoses, these individuals peddled poisons into our communities with total disregard for the consequences,” said Attorney General Shapiro. “We’re committed to shutting down these dangerous, illegal trafficking operations, keeping Pennsylvania neighborhoods safe, and saving lives.
