As Penn State football prepares to return, so does the stadium's cleanup crew & its recycling policy

University Park, PA (WJAC) — With Penn State football opening its season this Saturday night at Beaver Stadium, fans will once again be asked to get familiar with the blue and clear plastic bags that have become a fixture outside of the stadium. Outside Beaver Stadium, dozens of recycling stations are already in place with the same policy for fans and trash. Blue bags for cans and bottles, clear bags for everything else.

Chocolate World responds after allegedly kicking out on-duty police officer

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa (WHP) — Hershey's Chocolate World has issued a statement regarding an incident involving a local police officer that caused upset on social media. On Oct. 17, The York County Fraternal Order of Police made a Facebook post alleging that an on-duty York officer had been asked to leave Hershey's Chocolate World. The FOP wrote that the officer had been purchasing candy for a nearby Halloween parade. Shortly after, France Paskey, a York-based law firm, made a post that says the officer was told police officers are only allowed into the store if they first call and and ask.

Clearfield County new cannabis dispensary gives first looks before it opens for business

DUBOIS – A medical marijuana dispensary will soon be opening in Clearfield County. “We like to think of ourselves as the premier cannabis dispensary company in Pennsylvania,” PA operations manager Will Aggains said. The Chicago-based company Herbology is now reaching out to folks in Clearfield. “There no cannabis dispensary nearby, and so was filling a need for people that live in Dubois,” Aggains said. Employees help guide those in need on a journey to have cannabis help them.

Low voter enthusiasm could be big problem for Biden

WASHINGTON (TND) — Poor polling numbers continue to dog the President as he seeks a second term and other polling suggests his base might not be too excited for the 2024 rematch. President Joe Biden gave the commencement address Sunday to graduates at the HBCU Morehouse College in Atlanta. Some students protested by turning around during his speech, while there were demonstrations outside over the handling of the Israel-Hamas war. The foreign conflict protests have boiled over on college campuses over the past two months.
