The Carolina Hurricanes are wagering the gifted goal scorer can do the same a little further south. The Penguins traded the high-scoring forward to the Hurricanes on Thursday night in exchange for forward Michael Bunting, prospects Ville Koivunen, Vasili Ponomarev and Cruz Lucius and conditional first- and fifth-round picks in this year's draft.

SPRING TOWNSHIP - A Pleasant Gap man faces numerous charges after he was accused of breaking into a Spring Township home Sunday morning. Ryan Harter faces charges of burglary, felony criminal trespassing, simple assault, strangulation and making terroristic threats. According to an affidavit, a woman called police after she heard someone pounding on her door. When officers arrived on Lingwood Court, they saw a door open at a different residence.

(WJAC) — Following a brief recess, the jury heard testimony from two more members of law enforcement, who testified to Giles' alleged behavior after his wife was reported missing. Former JPD officer Amber Noel took the stand and detailed an interview conducted with Giles on Nov. 1, 2018. Noel testified that Giles was "cooperative" during the interview and reportedly stated that he did not know where his wife was at the time.

Without a doubt, college professors are the most dangerous people in America. They’re not dangerous because they challenge the status quo, or because they encourage their students to think critically. On the contrary, they are dangerous because they encourage impressionable young college students to adhere to the doctrines of the professors they choose without giving them the chance to meaningfully challenge those doctrines.

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX) — An inmate was found murdered in his cell at a Texas jail. Jesus Torres, 57, was found unresponsive inside his cell at the at the El Paso County Jail Annex Monday night, according to an officials with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. Medical staff immediately responded to provide medical aid but the inmate was already dead. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Major Crime Unit and Texas Rangers began an investigation.
