JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — The 32nd annual Potato Fest takes place this weekend in Ebensburg.
This, even as reports show a shortage on potatoes.
6 News spoke with an official behind the potato fest and a local potato farmer about this - they say were not seeing much of a potato shortage locally and so the Potato Fest in Ebensburg will go on like it has in years past.
“This weekend, on Saturday in Ebensburg is our annual Potato Fest,” said Danea Koss, a Community Development Director.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired outfielder Connor Joe from Colorado on Sunday in exchange for pitching prospect Nick Garcia.
The 30-year-old Joe hit .238 with seven home runs and 28 RBIs in 111 games with the Rockies. Joe split time between left field, right field, first base and designated hitter for Colorado last season.
Joe joins an outfield group that includes All-Star centerfielder Bryan Reynolds, who has asked for a trade, Jack Suwinski, Tucupita Maracano and Miguel Andújar.
Elk County, PA (WJAC) — The annual Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous kicked off Wednesday in Ridgway.
The event runs through Sunday afternoon.
Organizers say 90 carvers, from countries around the world, will be making elaborate pieces out of wood for visitors to enjoy.
In addition to live carvings, there are craft vendors, food booths, wineries, and breweries, as well as music.
New this year is a $5 admission fee for adults, but kids are free.
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Thousands of President Donald Trump's supporters gathered in Johnstown Tuesday night to listen to the president make his case for re-election in three weeks.
Central Pennsylvania proved to be pivotal for President Trump's election in 2016.
Tuesday, he rallied for support for his re-election in 2020 at the John Murtha Johnstown Cambria County Airport.
