University Park, PA (WJAC) — Penn State football's season opening game against West Virginia will be televised on FOX, the university announced Thursday.
The game, scheduled for August 31st, will kickoff at noon.
The Nittany Lions will also play two other games on FOX this upcoming season, Sept. 7 vs Bowling Green and Sept. 28 vs Illinois.
Penn State hosted the Mountaineers early last season, defeating WVU 38-15.

HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A historical site that experts call one of the most important in the state is in Huntingdon County.
Sheep Rock Shelter, located at Raystown Lake, is getting a new review with new technology.
"Thousands of years ago, this rock began to form at Sheep Rock Shelter," said Jim Herbstritt of the State Museum of Pennsylvania.
Sheep Rock Shelter was first discovered in the 1950s. It's an archaeological discovery that's given residents a peek into live here up to thousands of years ago.
UPMC announced Wednesday that the hospital system is planning to lay off approximately 1,000 employees/positions, citing ongoing "post-pandemic challenges."
In a statement, UPMC says that the healthcare industry as a whole continues to be impacted by the "still evolving, post-pandemic marketplace."
Officials say the layoffs will likely come in the form of closing open positions or eliminating certain "non-clinical" staff members.
