University Park, PA (WJAC) — Penn State University officials say the decision was made earlier this week to "indefinitely" suspend the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity following an alleged hazing investigation.
University officials say the investigation revealed "widespread and pervasive" hazing that had occurred for several years.
Authorities say the fraternity was given an interim suspension in late September and their attempted appeal was denied.
The university says the fraternity was previously suspended in 2018, for similar violations, and the most recent investigation showed that the hazing had continued.
